When I was growing up, I had no clear cut guidelines to what to do in precarious situaitons as a young man. My pastor and church deacons would just say, pray and God will answer your prayer; or they would simply be silent.
By the time I settled into the practical application of the word of God, I was beyond my 20's. I realized I need to obtain a set of values and morals that would motivate me to succeed in every area of my life. Even though the Bible gives clear direction for living a righteous life before God and Man, I needed a guide to help me through the gray areas of my Christian walk.
Commitment– it is the promise to keep your word to yourself on meeting your goals in life. For example, if you start something new, you will make the commitment to finish it. Many things in life people start but don't finish and live a life unfulfilled.
Courage– it is for the strengthening and boldness to stay committed to the goals you have set in life. It is not for the faint hearted; life challenges can make or break you. Life has potholes, stumbling blocks, and forks in the road to take you off the path you have set.
Confidence– it is the hope and faith that you can do what you set out to do. For instance, to many times we confess what we want to do, and we don't have the faith in ourselves to do it. We seek out the external stimuli to do, but it is a internal motivation that helps us achieve it.
Consistency– it is imperative that you continue doing the same thing the same way every day that will maintain and sustain your success towards accomplishing and achieving your goals. For example, it takes for you to get up 4:30am to start your day to make sure you get in your 30 to 40 minutes of exercise to lose weight. Then you have to do that every day for along as it takes to meet your goal.
The four C's will inspire you to think deeply and comprehensive about your past, present and future. These qualities helped me achieve and maintain a life of fulfillment and purpose.

Lawrence, this is excellent advice. What I like most about it is the first C spoken of as you found your way: Christ. With Him, the four C's have meaning. This message had significant meaning for me. Thank you for the reinforcement.Avis,I am glad that the article was a blessing to you. Take care and all the best to you and yours.Lawrence
