Mama I Wonder How

Mama I wondered why and how you did it. You shared when you had no more to give.

Mama I wondered why and how you had nothing in the kitchen and made it into a seven course meal.

Mama I wondered why you cried in the night and prayed in late hours and in morning and still woke up with a smile on your face.

Mama I wondered why you never just walked out when the pressure seemed so great and yet you handled it grace.

Mama I wondered will I be the same with my children on life.

My mother always did the impossible. I wondered how she ever raised six children. My father worked long hours. She found time to be wife, mother, doctor, lawyer, and driver.
